Each year, at our March General Membership Meeting, the members of the PTA elect four officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) to the Sunny Hills PTA Executive Committee. Following this, the Executive Committee will appoint Director positions. Together, these members will make up the Sunny Hills PTA Board. All positions, except for Treasurer, can be co-chaired and each role is entitled to one vote, in accordance with SHPTA Standing Rules and WSPTA Bylaws. Tatiana Neal - President
Hello! My name is Tatiana Neal, and I am excited to once again serve as the 2026–2027 Sunny Hills PTA President. This will be my third year serving on the Executive Committee, and I am honored to continue supporting our amazing school community.
My husband, Keith, and I are proud Mustang parents to our 9-year-old twins, Remy and Addyson. Over the past several years, I've had the pleasure of serving as a room parent in both of their classrooms, and I truly enjoy being involved in our school.
Outside of the PTA, I volunteer as a Girl Scout Leader and serve as a guild member with Friends of Costco. My most important role, however, is being a mom, and you'll usually find me cheering on my kids in all of their activities and adventures! I'm also a huge fan of Kraken hockey and live theater, so I'm a proud season ticket holder for both. In my free time, I love traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
A couple of fun facts about me: I was born in Canada, and I'm left-handed!

Renee Fisher - Secretary
Hi there! I’m Renee Fisher, and I’m thrilled to be serving as your Sunny Hills PTA Secretary for the 2025–26 school year. This is my first year on the executive committee, and I’m excited to jump in and get involved.
My husband and I have two energetic boys (1st and 3rd grade) who keep us constantly moving. Whether we’re biking through the trails or hitting the ski slopes, we’re always up for an adventure.
Before becoming a full-time mom, I worked in global marketing, leading teams and launching campaigns around the world. These days, I love using those skills to support our amazing school community and help keep things running behind the scenes.
Fun fact: I raced downhill skiing in college, which prepared me well for parenting two boys with nonstop energy and zero fear.

Christy Lao - Treasurer
My name is Christy, and I am honored to serve as the Treasurer of Sunny Hills PTA for the 2025-2026 school year. As a passionate advocate for our school community, I am excited to support the PTA’s mission of creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for our students.
Professionally, I bring experience in corporate accounting and finance, which I believe will be valuable as I manage the PTA’s finances and help ensure transparency of our resources.
I am an enthusiastic parent with a 7-year-old daughter, Emma, who is in 2nd grade at Sunny Hills. Committed to giving back, I enjoy volunteering not only in our school community but also with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Classical KING radio station, and Timberlake Church. In my free time, I practice yoga to stay balanced and energized.

Jessica Schwerzler - Events Director
Hi, I’m Jessica Schwerzler and I’m excited to be the Events Director for Sunny Hills PTA for the 2025-26 school year.
It’s my fourth year in this role and I can’t wait for all the awesome Family Events we have planned. Some of the events we have lined up include: Cultural Night, Bingo and Brownies, STEM Night, End of Year Party and the beloved Popcorn Fridays. If you are interested in helping plan or volunteer for any of these events, shoot me an email!
A little about me outside of the PTA, I have an awesome son Eli who is in 4th grade. I’m retired from Costco after 25 years and I also run a small Etsy business. I have lived in the Seattle/Eastside area all my life. I enjoy walking my crazy 5-year-old Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix, traveling, being with friends and family, crafting and baking. I make a delicious apple pie. My husband and I do many DIY home improvement projects and I try to keep up on the never-ending battle of housework.
I’m excited for this school year, let’s make it a memorable one together.

Yingjie Lie - Advocacy Director
Hello! My name is Yingjie Li, and I’m excited to join the Sunny Hills PTA as the Advocacy Director for the 2025–2026 school year.
I’ve been a member of the Sunny Hills PTA for the past three years and have enjoyed serving as the Math Challenge Tournament Chair for the last two. I’m looking forward to stepping into this new role and supporting our parents and students as they thrive in the coming year.
My husband and I have three kids: Aurora, who is in third grade; Aaron, who just started kindergarten; and our youngest, Avril, who is two.
In my free time, I love reading, hiking, and playing board games. A fun fact about me: I’m a yoga practitioner and hold a 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate.
Anu Kapoor - Membership Director
Hello All, I'm Anuhar, but you can call me Anu (way easier, right?). I'm excited to jump in as your Membership Director for the Sunny Hills PTA this school year. I have two awesome boys: Rikin, who's in 3rd grade here at Sunny Hills, and Rishaan, who's off to 8th grade at Pine Lake Middle. Wish me luck juggling both!
My mission? To sprinkle some fun into our PTA activities. Expect surprises, laughter, and maybe even a dance-off (you've been warned!). Life’s too short for boring meetings.
When I’m not PTA-ing, my family and I love to travel. We've gotten lost in foreign cities and tried foods we can’t pronounce. Traveling keeps life interesting and full of great stories.

Tracy Grant - Fundraising Director
Hello! My name is Tracy Grant and after 5 years of supporting the PTA behind the scenes I am excited to take a seat for the second year as the Director of Fundraising for the 2025-2026 school year. I look forward to continuing the amazing work the PTA does to create opportunities for students to grow, learn and thrive in an engaging and enriching environment.
After an exciting career as a civil litigator and then a rewarding career as a social worker I am currently using my conflict resolution strategies and de-escalation skills at home to raise my daughter Kendall (a 5th grader) and my son Declan (a 3rd grader).
Fun Fact: My kids are proud second-generation Mustangs as their dad attended Sunny Hills when he was in elementary school!
If you, or someone you know, would like to join our PTA Board please contact Tatiana Neal at president@sunnyhillspta.org. We are happy to answer any questions and provide more details and information about this role.
